Tomb of the Unknown

This is it, the best picture I have ever taken. I was on a campout with our scout troop in the middle of Idaho. We were going to see the Yankee Fork Gold Dredge, and we stopped off at a small ghost town on the way there. While looking around, I found this small graveyard. It was great, we all found several old tombstones dating back to the 1800’s. But then I went all the way to the back, and that was where I found this. It was so touching that I just sat there for a few minutes admiring the simplicity and the beauty of it. And then I took this picture.

I took a lot of pictures before that, and I’ve taken a lot of pictures since, but this picture is my Pièce De Résistance. Perhaps someday I’ll take a better picture. If I do, I’ll most certainly post about it here. But until that happens, this is the best picture I have ever taken.
