Snow Limerick

A blizzard named Jonas came here
Making all of the good people fear.
They hid in their houses
Like wee bitty mouses
For the worst storm to happen this year!

First the cold winds began to blow
Then as the sun set, it started to snow
Mother nature dropped plenty
One hundred and ten feet, no twenty!
Finally, a hush fell on this land of woe.

Not a single creature stirred
Not a peep from a bird
Not a breath
In this land of death
Had they vanished without a word?

A movement breaks the Silent Mass
Could it be signs of life at last?
A single child – no, a whole community
Working together, what could it be?
Why, they’re shipping snow cones to Mexico, first class!
