I thought and I thought, but I couldn’t come up with any picture to put up on this month’s post. So just use your imagination and picture me with a sparkling smile coming out of the shower all clean and purdy.
I came up with the idea for the daily shower, not because I feel that I am overly stinky, but because I wanted to see what it was like. I’m generally a ‘shower 3 times a week’ kinda guy, and I wondered what it would be like to shower every single morning as part of your routine for the day. And after doing it for a month? I gotta say I’m not a big fan. My skin was crazy dry and I smelled like soap and shampoo all the time. Do people really enjoy doing this?
Goals 2 and 3 were again part of my Wood Badge ticket. The Family Talent Survey sheet is a paper that families fill out describing what kinds of things they are interested in. Then, if you are planning an evening that overlaps with one of their interests, you can ask them to come help. It’s just a great way to get parents more involved in their son’s activities.
I wanted to do the annual Pack planning because even after a year as a Cubmaster, I still was planning Pack Nights from month to month, and I wanted to be more organized. I got together with the committee, and we hammered out the remainder of the year. It was very nice!
